Zach Wilson Finally Traded to Broncos by Jets
Quarterback Departs New York After Disappointing Stint
Three-Year Experiment Comes to an End
After nearly three years of underwhelming performances, the New York Jets have finally traded quarterback Zach Wilson to the Denver Broncos. The move comes as a relief to many Jets fans who have grown frustrated with Wilson's inconsistent play and lack of leadership on the field.
Wilson was selected second overall in the 2021 NFL Draft, but he failed to live up to expectations. In 23 career starts, he completed just 55.6% of his passes for 4,066 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 19 interceptions. His lack of accuracy and poor decision-making led to numerous turnovers and ultimately cost the Jets several games.
The Jets are now left with Joe Flacco and Mike White as their quarterbacks. It remains to be seen whether either of them can provide the stability and consistency that the team needs at the position.
