"Dawson's Creek" Actor Obi Ndefo Dies at 55
Obi Ndefo, who played the role of Bodie in the popular teen drama "Dawson's Creek," has died at the age of 55.
The cause of death has not been released.
Ndefo was born in Nigeria and raised in the United States. He began his acting career in the early 1990s, appearing in small roles in films and television shows.
In 1998, he landed the role of Bodie on "Dawson's Creek." Bodie was a popular and charming student who was friends with the show's main characters, Dawson, Joey, Pacey, and Jen.
Ndefo appeared in 12 episodes of "Dawson's Creek" over the course of the show's six seasons. He also had roles in the films "The Best Man" (1999) and "Drumline" (2002).
Ndefo's death has been met with sadness by his former castmates and fans. James Van Der Beek, who played Dawson on the show, tweeted, "I'm heartbroken to hear of the passing of Obi Ndefo. He was a wonderful actor and a great friend. He will be deeply missed."
